How to get a prod vm for the debian packages on Focal for testing?

  • (Kushal) Right now we only have staging Focal VMs. How can we start having a Focal prod VM, so we can test the whole Tails workflow, e.g., restore backup?
    • (Kev) Can we update Vagrantfiles to get a Focal version in? In terms of what migrations to test in Focal, are we planning to have v2 remaining by then?
    • (Kushal) No, but even so we still have to test the code.
    • (Kev) Maybe spin up the virtualized apt server using upgrade scenario, then update the app/mon server configurations to pull from that, using extra /etc/hosts entry. Will poke today.
