Some tips can be found here: Play with Ricoh THETA w/o Smartphones
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it to work on my computer. I've filed an issue here:
More info to come.
Looking through older threads via this group, I found a link to this page:
It says that the Ricoh Theta can be mounted as a "mass storage device"!
Approach is simple. "Connecting the USB while pressing the shutter button and WiFi". If successful, LED shutter part is blinking red, THETA will be recognized as a USB mass storage.
A: No. Looks like you have to login to theta360.com using Facebook.
See: Microsoft Photosynth
A: Looks like it is only possible to upload via the Photosynth app (it connects to the Theta). Even if you could upload to Photosynth, the embeddable player uses Microsoft Silverlight, so it's not mobile phone friendly.
A: Yes. Every panorama player has an option to obtain embed code. Here's an example of that code:
<blockquote data-width="500" data-height="375" class="ricoh-theta-spherical-image" >Intelligent Drive Simulator #theta360 - <a href="https://theta360.com/s/Aet" target="_blank">Spherical Image - RICOH THETA</a></blockquote>
<script async src="https://theta360.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Looks like it uses Flash for those that support it and HTML5 for mobile devices that don't like Flash.
