Warning —

If you make a new VM with Parallels 10, the default setting of the Desktop will be to create a pointer to all the items on your OS X Desktop such that if you Delete anything on the Windows Desktop, IT GETS DELETED ON YOUR OS X DESKTOP TOO! (Don't worry, I didn't lose anything vital.)

To break this behavior, un-check: Configure... -> Shared Profile: Share Mac user folders with Windows box:
