Create academic-integrity.qmd #315
Conversation
This new topic presents information about research/scientific/academic integrity. I copied most of the information from the guide [How can you set up research data management from the start?](https://rdm.vu.nl/guides/plan-and-design.html) and restructured and updated that a bit. Once this topic is published, we can remove the information from the above-mentioned guide and use an include statement to incorporate the content from this new topic.

Thanks @Jolien-S for this addition!
The checks were failing only because the heading levels were off by one. Each page can have only one level 1 heading (# Level 1
) and this proposal had multiple. The title is already the level 1 heading. I adjusted it in 58f4098 if you want to look at the specifics.
The "external links" check was a false positive – it completed without fail upon fixing the above 😊 It can happen with some of these links and image checkers. If they fail, the best action is to re-run them as follows:

### Academic integrity complaints procedure | ||
|
||
VU Amsterdam and Amsterdam UMC, location VUmc employ a joint policy for the handling [academic integrity complaints](https://vu.nl/en/about-vu/more-about/academic-integrity). This [policy](https://assets-us-01.kc-usercontent.com/d8b6f1f5-816c-005b-1dc1-e363dd7ce9a5/facfccb1-2b51-4f42-b32c-8bebfb29b89f/Academic%20Integrity%20Complaints%20Procedure%20Vrije%20Universiteit%20Amsterdam%20April%202022.pdf) outlines the steps to be taken in the event of a complaint, the officers who play a role in this procedure, and what should be expected once a complaint has been lodged. |

We could host this PDF in the handbook directly, if that helps?

Do we have a policy for documents that we do not maintain ourselves? Is it a good idea to host such documents?
Thanks for explaining the heading levels @chartgerink! Now I understand what went wrong. |

@Jolien-S for your information, I made a change on line 35 to make sure we spell counsellors in the same way in both instances. Otherwise I approve.
