Ductwork mod Configuration
These options can only be configured via Mod Menu when the Minecraft client is running an integrated server. When using a stand-alone Minecraft server, the options must be changed on the server instead. The config file is typically stored in config/ductwork.toml.
Also known as Vanilla Parity mode, when this option is enabled, Ductwork blocks cannot be oriented to move items upward or collect items in any direction other than downward. This option also prevents players from reconfiguring the primary setting of Ductwork blocks without breaking and re-placing them.
Enabling this setting does not modify or break any existing (already-placed) Ductwork blocks. If this setting is enabled for an existing world, upward item movement and alternative collection orientations may remain, but if a player breaks the blocks or rotates them, they cannot be restored to their previous orientation.
This option causes Ductwork blocks to bypass opening the menu of other Ductwork blocks when they are "used" on the other Ductwork block. Instead, the Ductwork block will be placed (as if the player had been sneaking). This can be very convenient when placing long runs of Ducts, but it overrides expected Minecraft behavior, so it is disabled by default. This option may become a client option in the future.
When this option is enabled and the server is restarted, different recipes will be loaded for Ductwork blocks. The cheaper recipes use quite a bit (about nine times) less iron. This option can be very useful for servers or modpacks that prevent the creation of iron farms.
This built-in optional resource pack can be enabled in Minecraft's "Resource Packs" menu. It adds a black arrow facing the direction of item movement to the ducts so it is easier to see which direction items will move through the ducts. The resource pack can be enabled and disabled without restarting the game.
