New Tool: ROMFS2QGC (In Development)

  • Enables the export of simulation-tuned parameters back to QGC for real-world use.
  • Provides an automated solution to ensure consistency between simulation and physical flight behavior.

Changelog Entry

For release notes:

Feature: New Tool: ROMFS2QGC <- allows transferring parameters from simulation to QGroundControl

Disclamer

  • This tool is still under development because simulation parameters currently lack type definitions (e.g., INT32, FLOAT, etc.), whereas QGC requires them. Determining the correct type for each parameter remains a challenge.

Test coverage

  • Only using a previously created custom air frame.
  • Further testing might be needed across multiple simulators and configurations.
