Templates
Create a Template: This is for those markings you want to use over and over again
Create a line Set desired properties Select “Save as Template” at the top. You will be automatically be taken to the Template tab Type in a name for your new template and hit Enter on your keyboard NOTE: These can be edited at any time by going to the Template tab and clicking the Template you want to change.
To Apply a Template Create a line or click an already created line in the Lines tab Click Apply Template at the top Select desired template from drop down selection
Creating, Changing, and Deleting Default Templates After creating a Template - Click “Set As Default” which will then put a star next to it in the left hand panel To change a line style’s default template do one of the following Click another template and click “Set As Default” – This will automatically remove the star from the previous template and add the star to the newly one selected If the default line style is desired Select current default template Click “Unset Default” at the top- This will remove the star from the current template and the original default line style will be used. To delete a template – Click the X next to the Template name in the left hand panel of the Template tab (cannot be undone)
BIG NOTE:
Setting Default Templates does NOT change the creation default from the Dash to another line style; it changes the Line Style defaults in LOOKS only. You can have as many templates as you want but only 1 default for each of the 4 Line Styles
Example:
You have a template defaults setup as the following:
Dash = yellow
Double Dash = dash space of 3
Solid = black
Double Solid = Orange
When using the shortcuts when creating lines at the beginning (Ctrl, Shift, and Ctrl + Shift) then above template defaults you set up would be used instead of the original defaults for how the lines will LOOK.
