We take the security of BoxMeOut seriously. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it to us as described below.

Please do not report security vulnerabilities through public GitHub issues.

Instead, please report them via email to security@boxmeout.app (or the maintainer's email listed in the repository's commit history).

You should receive a response within 48 hours. If you do not, please follow up to ensure your message was received.

• Type of issue (e.g. buffer overflow, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, etc.)
• Full paths of source file(s) related to the manifestation of the issue
• The location of the affected source code (tag/branch/commit or direct URL)
• Any special configuration required to reproduce the issue
• Step-by-step instructions to reproduce the issue
• Proof-of-concept or exploit code (if possible)
• Impact of the issue, including how an attacker might exploit it

• We will acknowledge receipt of your vulnerability report within 48 hours
• We will provide an estimated timeline for a fix and follow-up
• We will notify you when the vulnerability is fixed
• We will publicly acknowledge your responsible disclosure if you wish

We prefer all communications to be in English.

We follow the principle of responsible disclosure. We ask that you:

• Give us a reasonable time to fix the issue before disclosing it publicly
• Make a good faith effort to avoid privacy violations, destruction of data, and interruption of our services
• Do not exploit the vulnerability beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the issue
• Do not access or modify user data without explicit consent
