Abdul-Jaleel Mangala · Frontend Developer · Cape Town, South Africa
I'm a bootcamp student and frontend developer studying IT and frontend development at Life Choices Academy in Cape Town. I'm curious by nature — I'd rather learn a new stack by tearing into a real repo than by watching a course, and I'm usually running 2-3 real builds in parallel because I genuinely enjoy the process of shipping something end-to-end, not just the finished product.
I care about doing things properly: real auth, real security rules, real testing — not just a demo that looks good in a screen recording.
ConnectWithUs (ServiceFinder) A Cape Town public-services map — clinics, libraries, shelters — built on Vite, React, Leaflet, and Firebase/Firestore, with radius-based caching so the app only loads what's relevant to where you are. Originally a bootcamp team project that never shipped; I audited it, found the security gaps, and rebuilt it properly for a real handoff.
FuturePath Employment Hub A Flutter/Supabase job-seeker platform with job-seeker, staff, and admin roles. I've been deep in the backend here — fixing RLS policies and access-control bugs, live-testing against real data, and building out staff-side features with a full positive/negative test matrix.
AttendLC / Clock It A Raspberry Pi-based QR attendance system, built as a bootcamp capstone with an eye toward becoming a real commercial product — Flutter/Supabase, with the Pi handling the physical check-in side.
