HOW TO RUN THE DATABASE
To run the database, download and install MySQL Community Server from the official MySQL website (https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/). Once installed, ensure that the MySQL server is running and configured with the appropriate credentials used in the project. Run the following command: mysql -u root -p Username: root Password: wuhanyu89 Additionally, have Node.js installed on your system. Check if Node is installed by running node -v in your terminal. If Node is not installed, download it from the official website (https://nodejs.org/en/download). Once MySQL and Node.js are set up, navigate to the root directory of the backend code and run the following command to start the server: node server.js
HOW TO RUN THE WEB APPLICATION
Open a terminal and navigate to the directory containing the frontend React application.
Run the following command to install all required dependencies: npm install Once installation is complete, start the application with: npm start After starting, the web application will be available at: http://localhost:3000
FUNCTIONALITIES OF THE WEB INTERFACE
Customer Features: http://localhost:3000/customer Register: New users can create an account by submitting a registration form. http://localhost:3000/register
Login: Existing users can log into the system using their email and password. http://localhost:3000/login
Suggested Books: A personalized list of recommended books is shown.
Course-Specific Books: Displays books associated with a specific course.
Add to Cart: Users can add books to their shopping cart.
Complete Purchase: Users can complete their book purchase by checking out.
Admin Features: http://localhost:3000/admin Login: Admins can log into the admin panel. http://localhost:3000/adminLogin
Add eBook: Admins can create new eBook listings.
Add Book: Admins can add new physical book listings.
Manage eBook Price: Admins can update the price of an eBook.
Manage Book Stock and Price: Admins can update the available stock and price of physical books.
Delete a Customer: Admins can permanently delete a customer's account.
View Orders: Admins can view a list of all customer orders.
--------------# Getting Started with Create React App
This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.
In the project directory, you can run:
Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.
The page will reload when you make changes.
You may also see any lint errors in the console.
Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.
The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can't go back!
If you aren't satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project.
Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you're on your own.
You don't have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn't feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn't be useful if you couldn't customize it when you are ready for it.
