This is my Ph.D. dissertation. To build it yourself, you need LaTeX, specifically XeLaTeX, because I use fancy foreign fonts. You will also need Biber for the citations and a number of LaTeX packages:
To produce a lovely document of my words, run the command ./build in this directory. The bibliography and table of contents will also compile, so it takes a little while. If you only want to build or rebuild the primary document itself, run xelatex dissertation.
