Groovin v0.41

Tony G Dark 90s Edition: you had to be there...

A good start but with little to no documentation: 4 channels which can be composed of loopers or granulators or any combo thereof with decent fx.

Unfortunately, in sharing this with you, I've also discovered how difficult it is to share Mac software without becoming a paying apple developer.

If you download the zip file and you try to run it, it will give you a message that it is corrupted and to trash it, when it is working perfectly. This is Apples measure to force all Mac developer's to sign their work (and pay 100$ / yr subscription).

Any way, there is still a simple way to get around this:

  1. Download the zip file and unzip the app in your Downloads folder. You should now have a Groovin app with a headphone icon in your Downloads folder.

  2. If the above is true, then next open the Terminal and type the following line of text and then press return:

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Groovin.app

It will ask for your user password next. Type it in and press return.

Done!

Now you can run double click on Groovin without any error messages.

One more thing

When you first run the app (which you can you put anywhere in your Applications folder), it will ask you for permission to access your microphone. Just click deny, since the app currently does not make use of the microphone to record anything, but only output to your builtin speaker (or sound card)

Enjoy!
