playing chords

scanner-darkly edited this page Nov 8, 2018 · 3 revisions

there are 2 ways you can play chords:

  • map each voice to a different output, enable all mapped voices in a pattern and play it as you would play a polyphonic keyboard
  • map a single voice to multiple outputs and change octave/transpose settings for each output

to do the latter:

  • open voices page (left bottom button)
  • select "note" parameter (top button 6th column from the left)
  • select voice to map (7th column from the left)
  • the same voice should be the 1st voice enabled for the current pattern (2nd column from the left)
  • map the voice to several outputs (columns 8-12 from the left)
  • open output config page (left bottom button, then press the one above)
  • select the device you mapped to (2nd column from the left, use the blinking help button to confirm which device is selected)
  • select octave (top button in 3rd col from the left) or transpose (2nd button in 3rd col)
  • each row represents an output - create a chord by choosing different octave/transpose values

now if you play a single note it will be output as a chord.
