I’m a systems engineer with an interest in databases, operating systems and distributed systems.
I ran PostgreSQL inside WebAssembly!
Currently working on an interesting kernel microvisor: Lind, at NYU’s Secure Systems Lab. Most of my time goes into RawPOSIX, the Rust microvisor that gives you a POSIX syscall surface inside a WebAssembly sandbox.
I love to build systems from scratch:
- A SQLite file format reader that runs faster than SQLite
- A pipe that keeps messages from multiple writers atomic past PIPE_BUF
- A multi-producer multi-consumer ring buffer over POSIX shared memory
I’m back at the Recurse Center for a second batch, this time writing low-level Rust.
Previously,
- Worked as a software engineer at Narvar for 4 years
- I’ve contributed to Jenkins to improve their performance
I finished my master’s in Computer Engineering at NYU in May 2026.
