Bumps esbuild from 0.28.0 to 0.28.1.

Release notes

Sourced from esbuild's releases.

v0.28.1

  • Disallow \ in local development server HTTP requests (GHSA-g7r4-m6w7-qqqr)

    This release fixes a security issue where HTTP requests to esbuild's local development server could traverse outside of the serve directory on Windows using a \ backslash character. It happened due to the use of Go's path.Clean() function, which only handles Unix-style / characters. HTTP requests with paths containing \ are no longer allowed.

    Thanks to @dellalibera for reporting this issue.

  • Add integrity checks to the Deno API (GHSA-gv7w-rqvm-qjhr)

    The previous release of esbuild added integrity checks to esbuild's npm install script. This release also adds integrity checks to esbuild's Deno install script. Now esbuild's Deno API will also fail with an error if the downloaded esbuild binary contains something other than the expected content.

    Note that esbuild's Deno API installs from registry.npmjs.org by default, but allows the NPM_CONFIG_REGISTRY environment variable to override this with a custom package registry. This change means that the esbuild executable served by NPM_CONFIG_REGISTRY must now match the expected content.

    Thanks to @sondt99 for reporting this issue.

  • Avoid inlining using and await using declarations (#4482)

    Previously esbuild's minifier sometimes incorrectly inlined using and await using declarations into subsequent uses of that declaration, which then fails to dispose of the resource correctly. This bug happened because inlining was done for let and const declarations by avoiding doing it for var declarations, which no longer worked when more declaration types were added. Here's an example:

    // Original code
    {
      using x = new Resource()
      x.activate()
    }
    // Old output (with --minify)
    new Resource().activate();
    // New output (with --minify)
    {using e=new Resource;e.activate()}

  • Fix module evaluation when an error is thrown (#4461, #4467)

    If an error is thrown during module evaluation, esbuild previously didn't preserve the state of the module for subsequent module references. This was observable if import() or require() is used to import a module multiple times. The thrown error is supposed to be thrown by every call to import() or require(), not just the first. With this release, esbuild will now throw the same error every time you call import() or require() on a module that throws during its evaluation.

  • Fix some edge cases around the new operator (#4477)

    Previously esbuild incorrectly printed certain edge cases involving complex expressions inside the target of a new expression (specifically an optional chain and/or a tagged template literal). The generated code for the new target was not correctly wrapped with parentheses, and either contained a syntax error or had different semantics. These edge cases have been fixed so that they now correctly wrap the new target in parentheses. Here is an example of some affected code:

    // Original code
    new (foo()`bar`)()
    new (foo()?.bar)()
    // Old output
    new foo()bar();
    new (foo())?.bar();

... (truncated)

Zero-dependency TypeScript monorepo (npm workspaces, Node >=20), built by
expert agents against a locked @qproof/core contract:

- @qproof/core shared engine: JS/TS + config crypto detectors, vulnerable-
                  dependency DB, inventory + readiness score, SARIF/JSON/text reporters
- @qproof/qscan CLI: scan any codebase, baselines, severity gating, SARIF
- @qproof/mcp MCP server (stdio JSON-RPC from scratch) + hostable HTTP scaffold
- @qproof/action GitHub Action: fail CI on newly-introduced quantum-vulnerable crypto
- @qproof/sieve   ML-KEM/ML-DSA conformance battery over a JSON protocol
                  (honest: ships no KAT vectors, never fabricates)

Tooling: TypeScript + tsx only; tests are node:test (182 passing). Apache-2.0.
docs/AUDIT.md captures the post-build audit + efficiency/parallelism/hosted-MCP roadmap.

- Deterministic seeded fuzz targets for the hand-rolled parsers (core manifest +
  SARIF, sieve protocol/base64, qscan args) — no crash / typed errors only.
- Zero-dep pre-commit hook (.githooks/pre-commit) + CONTRIBUTING opt-in.
- scripts/validate-sarif.mjs structural SARIF 2.1.0 check + CI 'sarif' job.
- Advisory 'bench' CI job. ROADMAP/CHANGELOG updated.

Build clean; ESLint + Prettier clean; 340 tests pass.

Step 3 of the post-v0.2 plan — empirical validation, all reproducible:

- Detection benchmark (packages/core/test/benchmark/): labeled positive/negative
  corpus + scorer test. Measured P 0.969 / R 1.000 / F1 0.984; documents the one
  false positive (createECDH in a comment) and two detector gaps honestly.
- Sieve vs a REAL audited impl (validation/sieve-real-sut/ → @noble/post-quantum,
  standalone, outside the workspaces so packages stay zero-dep): ML-KEM-768,
  ML-DSA-65, SLH-DSA pass; a broken variant is correctly FAILED; and Sieve
  surfaced a genuine FIPS 203 §7.2 ek-modulus-check deviation in @noble. The
  env-scrub (P0-3) is confirmed — env-injected faults don't reach the SUT.
- qScan dogfood on jsonwebtoken + jose: accurate inventory + correct 0/100 verdict
  on crypto-heavy code.
- docs/validation/{detection-benchmark,sieve-real-impl,qscan-dogfood}.md + index.

Build clean; ESLint + Prettier clean; 343 tests pass.

Scorecard auto-ran on push and failed: it referenced a non-existent
ossf/scorecard-action@v2 tag, and its result-publishing + code-scanning SARIF
upload require a PUBLIC repo (this repo is private). Gate it to workflow_dispatch
only, pin v2.4.3, set publish_results:false, and tolerate the code-scanning
upload — so day-to-day pushes show only the (green) CI workflow. Re-enable the
schedule/push triggers + publish_results when the repo goes public.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Scorecard's score-publishing and code-scanning SARIF upload both require a PUBLIC
repo, so the workflow only ever produced failing runs here. Remove it; document
in SUPPLY-CHAIN.md to re-add it (pinned ossf/scorecard-action@v2.4.3) when the
repo goes public. The release workflow stays (gated, manual).

OK, I won't notify you again about this release, but will get in touch when a new version is available. If you'd rather skip all updates until the next major or minor version, let me know by commenting @dependabot ignore this major version or @dependabot ignore this minor version.

If you change your mind, just re-open this PR and I'll resolve any conflicts on it.

…NCSC

Closes the audit's #1 gap: the tool was hardcoded to a NIST/CNSA worldview, and its
"hybrids optional" guidance was regime-WRONG for ANSSI/BSI (where hybridization is
required), with no way to choose otherwise.

- New core `StandardsProfile` layer (standards-profiles.ts): five cited, dated
  built-in regimes (nist default, cnsa-2.0, bsi-tr-02102, anssi, uk-ncsc), each
  carrying parameter sets, deprecate/disallow deadlines, and a HYBRID STANCE
  (required | recommended | optional). `remediationForProfile` + `formatProfileGuidance`
  compose regime-correct guidance.
- `qscan --profile <id>` tailors the migration-targets footer; `--tier category-5`
  is now an alias for `--profile cnsa-2.0` (the old CNSA-tier footer is unified onto
  the profile path). `--policy` still composes an org's exceptions on top.
- Verified end-to-end: ANSSI → "ML-KEM-1024 … hybrid required"; CNSA 2.0 → "hybrids
  optional"; BSI → "hybrid required" at commercial params.
- New public API: StandardsProfile, HybridStance, STANDARDS_PROFILES,
  getStandardsProfile, standardsProfileIds, defaultStandardsProfile, DEFAULT_PROFILE_ID,
  remediationForProfile, formatProfileGuidance (frozen in the surface). A drift test
  keeps profile params aligned with PQC_STANDARDS.

Docs: CHANGELOG, ROADMAP, CLI help. Suite: 936 passing; all gates clean.
