Update/improve topic descriptions
I'm retroactively adding the following topics:

Add metadata topic
Update two FR descriptions
Hi @ericbrasiln, @marie-flesch, @jenniferisasi and @hawc2, I have been reworking the topic descriptions in the the topics.yml file. They currently don't display to the public, but we would like them to do so, under the new technical infrastructure. Could you kindly take the time to read through my updates and give any feedback you may have? Once you're all happy with the EN version, we can work together on translating them into each language. Thank you! And please comment below if you can think of any lessons which could be re-tagged, as well. |

Thank you, Charlotte. I think this is a good start. We can continue collaborating on this. I'd like us to be able to use topics and 'tagging' more effectively to support search and discovery as we renew our technical infrastructure.
A quick note on the web-archiving
topic. This displays as intended in the pt/licoes index and /es/lecciones too, where there is one lesson in each journal which is tagged with this topic. All good!
@anisa-hawes and I have decided to merge this branch in order to close the issue for now. The updated topic descriptions will not show on the live site, so it is not a problem that the EN does not currently match the other languages. We are still projecting to improve topic tagging in order to better support search and navigation, but we will work on this in a wider sense alongside the ongoing technical infrastructure renewal discussions. |
I have been working on updating some of our topics' descriptions (in EN). I would greatly appreciate our Project Team's feedback and recommendations! Once everyone is happy with the descriptions, we can translate them into FR, ES and PT.
I also hope that clarifying the descriptions will allow us to retroactively tag lessons that could fit the topics.
