Proposed Changes

Adds a status search filter, so the board can be filtered by what CI and other services report on a pull request.

• status:<context> and status:<context>=<state> match pull requests by commit status, e.g. status:license/cla=pending.
• The context is matched partially and case-insensitively; quote it (status:"license/cla") to match exactly.
• Only the state of the given context is considered, and issues without statuses never match.
• It works with negation and with the existing AND, OR and () operators. The board's autocomplete offers the statuses found on cards.

Why

We use CLA Assistant in the bpmn-io organization. Pull requests without a signed CLA carry a pending license/cla status and cannot be reviewed or merged. Until they are signed they only add noise to the board. This is the filter we can use to hide them while they are open, and to keep closed ones visible in the Done column:

(-status:license/cla=pending OR is:closed)

The same filter is useful for other statuses, e.g. author:renovate status:renovate/artifacts=failure is:open finds dependency updates that need a human.

Limits

• Only commit statuses are matched, not check runs.
• The filter works on the statuses wuffle has stored. Wuffle fetches them when a pull request is opened, updated or reported via webhook, and during the periodic sync, which only covers recently updated pull requests. A pull request that has been idle for a long time may have no stored status and therefore never matches status:.

Try out

1. Start the board and open it with the filter status:license/cla=pending: pull requests with a pending CLA status are shown
2. Negate it with -status:license/cla=pending: they disappear
3. Combine it, e.g. (-status:license/cla=pending OR is:closed): closed pull requests with a pending status show up again

If we added these status:... filters, then we'd also need to add checks filters and other things next - if possible I'd avoid it. What I suggest instead: Maintain state that matters to you via labels, i.e. needs:cla - makes filtering simple and convenient, and the actual issue is prominently displayed on a card when the filter is off.

Upon private conversations, I am closing this pull request as we prefer sticking to utilization of labels for the sake of simplicity and maintainability.
