Version 1.0 - Second Alpha - End of April 🌳

The goal of this version is to solidify the MVP to enable common AI integration use cases and grow our community.

Naftiko Framework

VS Code integration

• Enable setting Capability JSON Schema in the header of the capability YAML files
• Increase the amount of inline guidance while editing the YAML
• Verify the compatibility with Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity and Kiro
• Publish into VS Code Marketplace

Backstage integration

• Upgrade to Backstage 1.49.0 and BUI
• Register exposed REST, MCP and SKILL endpoints of capabilities into Backstage with proper lineage
• Scaffold of a capability from existing API(s) with proper lineage
• Reuse the Shipyard example in the scaffolding templates (option to use a blank capability)
• Document the customization of an existing Backstage instead to add support for Naftiko

Kubernetes integration

• Enable OpenTelemetry for integration with Prometheus or Datadog
• Enable Argo CD for continuous deployment from Git
• Package a demo environment based on Kind (Kubernetes in Docker)

• Enable the TechDocs for each capability created via the template

Kubernetes integration

• Use CNOE to facilitate IDP builder and Enterprise-grade CNCF stacks
• Provide a Naftiko Operator and Capability CRD with help of Kustomize

Core developer experience

• Deliver an MVP of Naftiko Shipyard to help developers and agents learn and create capabilities
• Host Naftiko Shipyard’s capability, distributing related agent skills

Version 1.0 - First Beta - End of June 🌼

The goal of this version is to deliver a stable MVP, including a stable Naftiko Specification.
