@app.exception_handler(Exception)) were returning a plain 500 error but were not being logged server-side. This silently swallowed potentially critical backend failures and stack traces, making debugging and incident response difficult.logging.error("Unhandled exception", exc_info=_exc)in the custom global exception handler.
