Problem
gh release create --generate-notes(release.yml publish step) meant release bodies only ever contained the auto-generated PR list — the curated CHANGELOG.md section never reached the release. v0.2.27 shipped that way (body fixed manually for that release).Fix
.github/scripts/changelog-section.cjs: extracts the## [version]section (hyphen and em-dash date forms, exact-match so 0.2.2 never steals 0.2.20, stops at the next heading or the compare-link footer, fails closed on missing/empty sections).--notes-filealongside--generate-notes— GitHub prepends the curated section to the auto PR list (verified against gh 2.100.0 docs/behavior; the exclusive pair is--notes-from-tag, not--notes-file).changelog-section.test.cjs(8 tests incl. the real 0.2.27 section) added to the repotestscript per the extracted-logic convention.Verification
