Multiple Particle System Entry

Hi,

Hope you are fine. I am trying to integrate Enviro sky and weather with dynamic weather script but the problem i am facing is unusual... when i add more particle systems to the array in lux dynamic weather script all the particle system stop working. Do you know of any reason or it doesn't support multiple particle systems.

it is needed as there are 2 types of snow and 3 types of rains. They are working standalone. but when i add them to the dynamic weather script or even with single particle system everything stops working.

Sorry to say i did through out check on this and which ever prefab particle system we assign to dynamic weather script it break that prefab even... meaning even if i remove dynamic weather completely from the scene that prefab doesn't work with with enviro 2.1.5 also.. but before it is working.

Nope no errors, Only that it stops working which ever prefab from Enviro system i assign to the slots in Lux dynamic weather script, those prefabs are reset. meaning whatever settings i did in the prefab they are all gone, mostly max particle count gets reset sometime time over distance curve is reset, etc.

Following are the steps i did in an empty project.

Add Enviro 2.1.5 and Lux Shader Framework 2.02 from github in an empty scene. Add the sky manager from enviro created a standard instance and enable Lux shader support via Sky Manager. then added the lux weather setting prefab to the scene assigned any snow & rain from Enviro prefab folder (first make a backup hehe), then just controlled the weather via enviro UI ... and everything that is not assigned to the lux weather setting particle array will keep working and any prefab assigned in the snow and rain particle slots (lux dynamic weather) will stop working.

Hope this help to sort it all out .... because i am stuck with no solution.

How would you suggest me to add multiple particle systems from enviro into the array so that it checks which ever is enabled in the drop down value from UI and plays that particle effect.

hi there, sorry, but i haven’t looked into the weather manager for years… so i would suggest that you let enviro control the particle systems and make the weather manager somehow listen to enviro. best, lars
