Beyond Reflection is a coming-of-age story set on Vancouver's beautiful North Shore, spanning from 1968 to 1987. It follows Jane, a young girl navigating the turbulent 1960s, as she confronts family secrets, finds unexpected love, and ultimately discovers who she truly is — set against the backdrop of a changing Canada.
The novel was written collaboratively over 10 years by the Babes with Books — a book club of 10 extraordinary women in their 70s who share 25+ years of friendship. What started as a book club evolved into a creative writing adventure, with retreats in Whistler and Bowen Island, uproarious laughter, and a deep bond that goes beyond the pages.
