This is the Homepage for the Mantis Rigging Nodes Gitlab Wiki.
Mantis Rigging Nodes can be thought of as Geometry Nodes, but for Armatures. You can imagine it as a kind of DIY, node-based Rigify: instead of relying on a pre-built system of rig components, you create your own rigging tools inside a Mantis node tree. With this approach, you can produce virtually any rig you can think of.
The key idea is flexibility and reusability. Mantis aims to replicate everything you can do with manual rigging, but in a node-based, declarative, and infinitely repeatable way. Once you’ve built a rigging mechanism in Mantis, you can reuse it across projects or expand it into more complex rigs without starting from scratch.
The wiki is in development.
This section is here to help you get started with mantis, understand some of the underlining philosophies at work, and provide demonstrations of what can be done with Mantis Rigging Nodes.
This section is here to provide a quick overview of the nodes available in rigging nodes by category; how they generally work, and what they are used for.
For an extensive, more verbose guide for every single node available in Mantis Rigging Nodes, go to Node Directory
This guide section focuses on taking the individual nodes, as explained above, and combining them together to produce a system: utilizing Mantis Nodes at full capacity.
