WARN: Check if each glyph has the recommended amount of contours. (com.google.fonts/check/contour_count)
  • WARN This check inspects the glyph outlines and detects the total number of contours in each of them. The expected values are infered from the typical ammounts of contours observed in a large collection of reference font families. The divergences listed below may simply indicate a significantly different design on some of your glyphs. On the other hand, some of these may flag actual bugs in the font such as glyphs mapped to an incorrect codepoint. Please consider reviewing the design and codepoint assignment of these to make sure they are correct.

The following glyphs do not have the recommended number of contours:

Review

@bghryct, done :)

Emma's tasks

  • Add tags in the spreadsheet
  • Change your name in metadata.pb, once the upstream changes will be done. Mirko Velimirovic -> Mirko Velimirović
  • Add Taurai Valerie Mtake to the designer catalog Add Designer: Taurai Valerie Mtake #7263
  • ⚠ WARN: DESCRIPTION.en_us.html should end in a linebreak.

Upstream's tasks

  • 🔥 FAIL: METADATA.pb: According to Google Fonts standards, families should have a Regular style.
    -> Add "One" in the name ID1, and change bold -> regular (for the master and exports)
  • 🔥 FAIL: METADATA.pb: Check URL on copyright string is the same as in repository_url field:
    Repository URL is https://github.com/TaVaTake/madimi
    But: OFL text has 'https://github.com/googlefonts/googlefonts-project-template' and HTML description has 'github.com/youruseraccount/yourrepository'

    -> Update URL in OFL: https://github.com/TaVaTake/madimi/blob/main/OFL.txt
  • Accent positions: Maybe move the second anchor in circumflexcomb, to avoid so many space between the circumflex and grave, in double accents.
  • Prepare some images for the promotion on social media

  • Accent positions: Check the position of the comma, with the T, and in the c (looks a bit to much on the left)

  • Check some kerning pairs

Working on this @emmamarichal
I think I've done everything in the list. The images for social media are the responsibility of the designer.
@TaVaTake Let's discuss this.

Closing this one too, same reason as Tac (missing "One")
