We get pesky journal errors complaining on every startup about missing icons. Downloading them like this is better than symlinking them to the host provided icons as we don't know which versions are on the host system. We also expect a specific version/look of the splash.qml which might change in the future as we have to modify this file anyway to change it to our logo.
