🚀 FireForm v1.1.0: Voice Transcription, Multi-Form Filling, & Seamless Templates
We are thrilled to announce the second official release of FireForm, introducing native voice transcription, multi-form filling, and a much smoother template creation experience.

FireForm is an open-source Digital Public Good (DPG) designed to eliminate the administrative burden on first responders by automating redundant paperwork through local AI.

✨ Key Features in this Release

  • Local Voice Transcription: Record incident voice memos directly in the app. A built-in local Whisper sidecar handles offline voice-to-text transcription with high accuracy.
  • Multi-Form Filling & Tiles: Map and fill multiple agency-specific forms. A new multi-form tile interface shows the progress and filling status of each selected form.
  • Advanced Model Control: Choose from multiple local LLMs and override models per-fill. The default extraction model has been updated to Qwen 2.5 for faster, highly structured extractions.
  • Smarter Template Creator: Upload a PDF and watch the app automatically parse and seed field rows directly from the PDF's own form fields, eliminating manual setup.
  • Persistent Database: Introduced persistent DB volume storage to ensure templates, settings, and forms remain saved across application restarts.
  • Packaging & Compliance: Features updated native macOS packaging workflows, enhanced security policies with private vulnerability reporting, and DPG compliance updates.

📦 Installation

  1. Download the FireForm-1.1.0.dmg attached below.
  2. Open the .dmg and drag FireForm to your Applications folder.
