Bug: Column view not adjusting width based on item name

Description

About 2 updates ago the column view starting acting erratically and not always adjusting to the content width. I checked the setting was turned on (it had been switched off by an update initially), but it hasn't really worked correctly since then, especially after opening a new folder from the pinned shortcut menu. I've noticed that on open as well, folders that were open previously (start where you left off feature) don't display expanded correctly.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Open Files
2. Either click on folder in pinned links or choose one from where you left off
3. Either initial folder, or folders a few deep will not adjust column width to match content

The Columns Layout doesn't have an option to turn off auto sizing. Can you please clarify which layout and setting you're referring to?

Apologies, the setting I was referring to is actually in Layout > Details View > Automatically fit columns to content. So I guess that's not the setting I'm looking for.

I have the same problem. Columns don't automatically change width anymore.
