This is a good thing to do but it may not be absolutely necessary because we rely on daos-spdk packages for all branches other than 2.6. The daos.spec isn't actually used on master/release-2.8 to generate the DAOS rpms any more since @jolivier23 's fpm build changes. We should probably keep the daos.spec as documentation/reference and keep it up-to-date. The package_infos.sh defines package versioning for a release going forward.

closing this PR as it is a no-op: 2.6 uses different package names (spdk, not daos-spdk) so changes on master and 2.8 do not affect 2.6
