Summary

This repository no longer ships a formal code of conduct.

CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md is removed. README now has a short Community section with the project notice. CONTRIBUTING.md no longer requires following a CoC. The docs map no longer links to the deleted file.

Security policy, license, and product copy are unchanged.

Checklist

  • Docs updated for durable or user-visible rules
  • Focused tests added or updated where behavior changed
  • Echo 2026 (echo26 / e26) updated if language or runtime surface changed
  • Examples updated if user-runnable demos are affected
  • scripts/gate changed (and echo26 when applicable) pass locally

Remove CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md and leftover file pointers. Add the community
notice to the README and drop CoC requirements from CONTRIBUTING.
