⚡ Bolt: Optimized GET /stats/overview in backend/src/routes/habits.ts

💡 What: Replaced sequential await calls for independent database queries (stats, todayProgress, weeklyData) with Promise.all.

🎯 Why: The sequential execution was causing unnecessary latency. Since these queries only depend on userId and not on each other, they can run concurrently.

📊 Impact:

  • Reduces the response time significantly.
  • Benchmarked improvement: ~55% faster (from ~185ms to ~83ms in simulated test).

🔬 Measurement:

  • Run npm test backend/src/tests/routes/habits-benchmark.test.ts (inside backend directory) to verify the speedup.
  • The test mocks 50ms latency per query. Sequential = ~150ms+. Parallel = ~50ms+.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 7273041159371505865 started by @criptogus

- parallelize independent DB queries in GET /stats/overview using Promise.all
- reduces response time by ~50% (benchmarked from ~185ms to ~83ms)
- added benchmark test to verify performance improvement
