Looks like they release pretty often after patches. This seems fine but it will just need redoing after they release (because it will cause problems for drupal 8 people with that composer setting where patch fails break the download). I know 6.1 branch is coming up but we have a few days.

Yeah that was my thought - adding a patch is something we want to avoid if we can as it has ongoing time costs so let's see if he merges
