👋 Hi, I’m Archit

I’m a Senior Software Engineer with interests spanning system design, decision governance, platform reliability, and collaboration tooling.
Currently working on large-scale content platforms in distributed engineering teams.

Earlier in my career, I built full-stack apps end-to-end. Today, I focus on systems that scale responsibly, preserve decision context, and improve how teams ship software over the long term.

I care deeply about:

  • Ownership and clarity
  • Trade-offs and decision rationale
  • Building tools that improve long-term engineering velocity

🔭 Current Focus (Primary Systems)

🧭 DecisionOps – ADR Governance System

DecisionOps – ADR Governance System

A system for capturing, evolving, and governing architectural/product decisions over time.

  • Decision lifecycle & versioning
  • Audit trail and status transitions
  • Designed for long-lived systems and growing teams

Tech: Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma, Postgres
🔗 Repository: https://github.com/archit-io/DecisionOps-ADR

♠️ Poker Pulse – Sprint Planning Poker

Poker Pulse – Sprint Planning Poker

A real-time collaboration tool for distributed agile teams.

  • Live sessions with shared state
  • Low-friction estimation workflow
  • Focus on reliability and collaboration clarity

Tech: Next.js, TypeScript, WebSockets
🔗 Repository: https://github.com/archit-io/Poker-pulse

🧪 Exploratory / Incubation Work

📰 Humanity Herald (Private / WIP)

A private incubation project exploring editorial workflows, content governance, and publishing systems in the wellbeing/news space.

Kept private due to domain overlap with professional work.
(Available for discussion during interviews.)

🧱 Foundational Projects (Earlier-Stage Work)

Earlier projects that demonstrate end-to-end ownership and execution.

Some demos are no longer live due to platform changes; selected repositories are kept public for historical and learning context.

🛠️ Technical Skills

Languages

  • JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
  • Python

Frontend

  • React, HTML5, CSS3
  • Performance & UX considerations

Backend & APIs

  • Node.js, Express
  • REST, GraphQL
  • AuthN/AuthZ patterns

Databases & Data

  • MongoDB
  • Relational fundamentals (modeling, migrations, indexing)
  • Data modeling for product workflows

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • AWS (hands-on exposure: EC2/S3/IAM basics)
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Configuration & secrets management

DevOps & Delivery

  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Build & release workflows
  • Production debugging & incident support
  • Reliability and cost-awareness mindset

System Design & Governance

  • Architectural Decision Records (ADRs)
  • Trade-off analysis & evolution planning
  • Cross-team collaboration and documentation

Data & Analytics (Earlier Career Foundations)

  • Data warehousing concepts & dimensional modeling
  • Oracle, DB2, Teradata
  • ETL: Informatica, DataStage
  • BI/Reporting: Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy

🧭 Engineering Focus

  • Designing long-lived systems with explicit decision records
  • Improving team clarity through governance and documentation
  • Balancing speed vs correctness in production environments
  • Thinking in trade-offs, failure modes, and system evolution

I value software systems that remain understandable, adaptable,
and resilient long after they are first shipped.

🏗️ Professional Systems Experience

Across my professional career, I’ve worked on large-scale production systems across domains including retail, banking, media, and enterprise platforms.

  • Building and evolving customer-facing platforms with high availability and performance requirements
  • Working on content-heavy and transaction-heavy systems with complex data flows
  • Collaborating across frontend, backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams in distributed environments
  • Supporting production systems with real users, incident response, and iterative improvement
  • Modernizing legacy components while balancing delivery timelines, risk, and long-term maintainability

These experiences shaped how I approach system design today — with an emphasis on clarity, ownership, operational awareness, and sustainable evolution rather than one-off feature delivery.
