This repository contains legacy Polygon and historical Ethereum contracts, scripts, and deployment artifacts.

As of July 25, 2025, Aavegotchi's canonical chain is Base. Active deployments and upgrades are maintained in [`aavegotchi/aavegotchi-geist`](https://github.com/aavegotchi/aavegotchi-geist).

## Canonical Base Deployment

Aavegotchis are fully onchain NFTs, powered by the ERC721, ERC1155, and ERC998 standards. The contracts also implement the EIP-2535 Diamonds standard, which allows for modular upgradeability.
