CITE is a domain-level authority rating designed for the GEO era. While traditional domain metrics (Moz DA, Ahrefs DR, SEMRush AS) are 90%+ link-based and built for the "10 blue links" era, CITE is the first open standard to formally model AI citations, entity identity, and multi-platform visibility as first-class signals alongside links.

The four dimensions are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive:

E08: Topical Authority Breadth
- Pass: Content covers >=70% of sub-topics within the domain's primary niche (as identified by keyword clustering)
- Partial: Covers 40-69% of niche sub-topics
- Fail: Covers <40% of sub-topics (significant gaps in niche coverage)
E09: Geographic Reach
- Pass: Receives organic traffic from >=10 countries/regions
