This repository is the application and tracking point for proposals to form a new working group (WG), or revive a Concluded WG, under the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF).
Before applying, review:
- Working Group Lifecycle Policy, the authoritative policy for eligibility, proposals, approvals, charters, leadership, and renewal.
- Working Group Monthly Reporting, the authoritative reporting procedure.
- Submission Guidelines, practical guidance for preparing your proposal.
Proposals are submitted by representatives of AAIF member organizations. WG participation is open to everyone; see the lifecycle policy for proposal and chair eligibility. Non-members with an idea can ask a member organization to sponsor a proposal.
- Open a new Working Group Proposal Application using the linked issue form.
- Complete all required sections.
- Submit the issue.
Your proposal will appear on the Working Group Proposals Board, where its progress can be tracked.
AAIF staff check your proposal for completeness, and the Technical Committee (TC) reviews it asynchronously on the GitHub issue. See the Working Group Lifecycle Policy for review timing and decision rules.
Submitters should monitor their submission and respond promptly to comments or requests from the TC or community.
New WGs require TC and Governing Board approval. Once the required approvals are in place, the WG starts in Sandbox, begins meeting and reporting, and develops its charter. It becomes Active only after the TC approves the charter. Approval of a proposal is not approval of an Active charter.
