Configure num_workers = "auto" in [tool.mypy] so direct Mypy runs use the project configuration. Remove the ordinary and documentation hook --num-workers=4 overrides so both inherit the configured worker count.

Keep existing doccmd example-worker settings unchanged.

Validation: the configured project formatter, Prek configuration validation, git diff --check, and the ordinary and documentation Mypy Prek hooks pass. Hooks ran sequentially with PREK_CONCURRENT_BATCHES=1.

Local benchmark: compiled Mypy 2.4.0 on macOS ARM64, three repetitions per mode, comparing --num-workers=0 with the project default (auto, eight workers on this host). Median cold-cache time changed from 3.403s to 2.194s (1.55× speedup). Median warm-cache time changed from 0.150s to 0.285s. All 12 runs passed with identical output. Fresh Mypy caches isolate the cold runs; timings exclude uv setup and launcher overhead.
