Just a note that I came across this still-open PR last week when I was looking into the specifics of migrating my headnode to new hardware. It worked flawlessly for me, and it highlighted steps that I otherwise would have missed, namely having to update things in NAPI, etc. to ensure that vestiges of the old headnode are well and truly gone. |

This is a documented headnode hardware migration performed in a lab environment. The process described here could be beneficial to others trying to swap/replace/upgrade/recover headnode hardware.
If possible please suggest or provide some feedback, enhancements, guidance or corrections to this document. Most of it was done by pulling information together from different sources and a bit of trial error.
