💿 Installation using Virtual Device Manager

This installation method requires PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager. Using the PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager will help you manage PSMoveServiceEx better. Providing more additional features, driver installer, easier management, better diagnostics and an automatic updater to keep you up-to-date.

  • To download PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager, you go to its GitHub page and navigate to the Releases.

  • You want to download PSMSVirtualDeviceManager.zip if you want the main application.

  • After done downloading, extract PSMSVirtualDeviceManager.zip, extract it wherever you downloaded it to.

  • After extraction, you will see a new PSMSVirtualDeviceManager folder. This is where the main application is located. Its recommended to move the folder to some more accessible place since you will interact with it more if you want to use it.

  • You just installed PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager. Now you have to open PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager by running the PSMSVirtualDeviceManager application.

  • You will be greeted with this graphical user interface.

  • PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager will detect whenever you dont have PSMoveServiceEx installed. The automatic downloader and installer will prompt you to download or browse for PSMoveServiceEx. Click Download and Install to automatically download and install PSMoveServiceEx otherwise use Browse to find an already existing PSMoveServiceEx installation. And thats it.

💿 Manual Installation

Manual installation is only recommended if you use it with third-party applications that communicates with PSMoveServiceEx. However most third-party applications ship with PSMoveServiceEx by default so this step is not necessary. Its recommended to use PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager to download PSMoveServiceEx for you. Using PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager will also keep your PSMoveServiceEx updated using an automatic updater. Use the Installation using Virtual Device Manager method if you want to use PSMoveServiceEx - Virtual Device Manager with PSMoveServiceEx instead.

  • To download PSMoveServiceEx you just have to go to the PSMoveServiceEx GitHub page and navigate to Releases. There you can find all released versions of PSMoveServiceEx. The top version is always the most recent release.

  • You want to download PSMoveService.zip if you want the main application. If you are a developer and want to try or use the console API to communicate with PSMoveServiceEx, you can download PSMoveClient_CAPI.zip and use it in your project. For .NET Framework or .NET Standard applications you may want to use PSMoveServiceEx-CAPI.NET instead.

  • After done downloading PSMoveServiceEx.zip, extract it wherever you downloaded it to.

  • After extraction, you will see a new PSMoveServiceEx folder. This is where the main application is located. Its recommended to move the folder to some more accessible place since you will interact with it more if you want to use it.

  • And there you have it. You just installed PSMoveServiceEx.
