Improve site quality, lifecycle handling, and tool discovery

Summary

• repair lint tooling, align Node/pnpm, update vulnerable direct dependencies, and add browser smoke coverage
• fix PWA lifecycle cleanup, newsletter failure handling, analytics consent, and initial loading of optional site extras
• make tool counts consistent, separate coming-soon entries, and improve directory accessibility and mobile controls

Validation

• CI static build, Docker validation, and broken-link check passed
• 5,792 unit tests passed
• 6 Playwright smoke tests passed across desktop and mobile
• frozen lockfile install, focused ESLint, game registry, and critical dependency audit passed

Repo-wide lint and type backlogs are now reported in CI but remain non-blocking; touched files pass focused lint and add no type errors.
