Summary

Implements the roadmap's separately versioned triality-invariant algebra sonification profile as D4-TIA-15 v1.0.0.

The source object is the published 15-generator minimal basis already recorded in src/d4-triality-reference.mjs. This PR does not modify ETQ-101 v2 or ETQ-303 v3 protocol identity.

Published grading preserved

Every event carries the published grading data:

  • refined degrees d_a, d_b;
  • total covariant degree d = d_a + d_b;
  • polynomial degree m;
  • modular weight k; and
  • covariant order omega.

Generation fails if any row violates:

k = 4*d_a + 6*d_b + m
omega = 2*d_a + 3*d_b - m
omega = (k - 3*m)/2

v1 receiver mapping

To avoid inventing rescalings or fitted latent quantities, v1 uses direct identity transfers:

published generator order -> event sequence
m                         -> onset tick
d = d_a + d_b             -> duration ticks
k                         -> MIDI note number
omega                     -> MIDI channel
d_a, d_b                  -> unchanged event metadata

These assignments are explicitly documented as authored receiver conventions. The mathematics does not assert that modular weight is acoustic pitch or that covariant order is MIDI channel.

Velocity is a fixed receiver constant (64). MIDI division is 1. No tempo meta event is emitted. Acoustic tuning, timbre, loudness, and wall-clock tempo are external and non-normative.

Artifacts

npm run build:d4-tia writes only root-policy-allowed artifacts:

  • contract.json
  • events.json
  • events.csv
  • events.mid
  • manifest.json

The MIDI file uses one metadata track plus 15 generator tracks so generator identity remains explicit even where MIDI projections collide.

The manifest records SHA-256 artifact commitments and a source-bundle implementation identity.

Versioning and verification

Added:

  • src/d4-triality-algebra-profile.mjs
  • src/d4-triality-algebra-artifacts.mjs
  • spec/d4-tia-15.v1.schema.json
  • examples/d4-tia-15.v1.canonical.json
  • scripts/build-d4-tia-artifacts.mjs
  • scripts/verify-d4-tia.mjs
  • tests/d4-triality-algebra-profile.test.mjs
  • docs/D4_TRIALITY_ALGEBRA_SONIFICATION.md

npm run verify now verifies D4-TIA-15 before the existing v3/v2/v1 chain.

Claim boundary

D4-TIA-15 is a deterministic symbolic sonification profile over a published invariant/covariant generator ledger. It does not claim that:

  • the MIDI mapping is uniquely selected by invariant theory;
  • MIDI note numbers are predicted physical frequencies;
  • the 15 generators are physical states;
  • a listener can necessarily distinguish all generators; or
  • this profile validates ETQ, E-string theory, or any physical interpretation.

Root PCM/rendered audio remains permanently disabled.

Summary by Sourcery

Implement the separately versioned D4-TIA-15 symbolic sonification profile without changing ETQ protocol identities.

New Features:

  • Add the independently versioned D4-TIA-15 v1.0.0 symbolic sonification profile for the published 15-generator D4 triality-invariant/covariant basis.
  • Provide deterministic JSON, CSV, and 16-track symbolic MIDI artifacts with explicit generator identity, grading metadata, and SHA-256 provenance commitments.

Enhancements:

  • Preserve and validate the complete published grading ledger while defining explicit identity-transfer mappings to symbolic event and MIDI fields.
  • Enforce fail-closed artifact generation within the permitted root output policy and permanently exclude tempo, rendered audio, and other non-normative receiver properties from profile identity.

Build:

  • Add dedicated D4-TIA artifact build and verification commands.

Documentation:

  • Document the D4-TIA-15 profile, mapping conventions, provenance, verification process, and claim boundaries.

Tests:

  • Add coverage for grading preservation, receiver mappings, canonical artifacts, MIDI structure, manifest commitments, and unsafe build requests.

Reviewer's Guide

This PR adds D4-TIA-15 v1.0.0 as an independently versioned, validation-heavy symbolic sonification profile over the existing 15-generator D4 ledger, producing committed JSON/CSV/MIDI artifacts with direct receiver mappings, fail-closed builds, provenance hashes, verification, tests, and documentation while leaving ETQ identities and root audio policy unchanged.
