Collectors have now been designed to be asynchronous, rather than existing in separate threads. In addition, collectors are now set up to trigger tasks immediately after collection completion, in addition to occurring periodically.

The tests passed but it didn't end in a timely manner so I cancelled it. I'll be merging this just to get things rolling, and work on resolving possible causes of the problem. |
