Each tag should preferably only include major updates from one component (e.g. include large code
changes from upstream repositories, large structural changes, new (default) model capability).
Minor component updates can be included in addition, if they do not change model output substantially.

Hi @TomasTorsvik , @gold2718 , @mvertens . I've been running prealpha tests for what we want in for CLM now. On Olivia everything passed, but one which seemed to have an interconnect problem, which I am rerunning, but on Betzy I have to ERI tests failing. Is there an Expected failures list for prealpha somewhere (otherwise I'll have to dig into this more carefully)?

Hmm. I do not see any prealpha tests for beta21. I can start that run now.
The last pre-run seems to be nor3_b21-rc4 which seems to pass but I notice that there is no CAM history configured for two of them (?!?).

@TomasTorsvik, can the nor3_b* directories be removed? They do not have the noresm group ownership (neither does noresm3_0_beta20).

I think, however, that these are out of date.

I did not have any fails on prealpha_noresm for noresm3_0_beta21. I have renamed the baseline nor3_b21-rc4 to noresm3_0_beta21, removed the other nor3_b* tests and set the group owner to noresm.

I had lots of DIFFs but no failing tests for beta21.

@maritsandstad , @mvertens - these tests refer to outdated compsets N1850Gand NHistG, which are no longer supported. Would be good to remove these next time someone updates the ChangeLog.

@mvertens - Should we aim for a ww3 / BLOM update in noresm3_0_beta23? It seems updates for beta22 are well under way, and maybe should be kept as a CLM and CAM update.

@TomasTorsvik - I am fine waiting for noresm3_0_beta23. I've created a pr-noresm3_0_beta23 branch that I will be updating. The ww3 will require changes in ccs_config, cime, cmeps, blom and ww3.
