- Line 167: Update _is_python_environment to recognize child directories whose
names end with .dist-info or .egg-info, alongside the existing pyvenv.cfg and
site-packages checks, so _find_markdown_files skips those package metadata
trees. Add temporary-tree regression cases covering each marker-only directory
form and verify test_relative_path_validity ignores vendored Markdown within
them.

The PR title and description reference NVBug 6784175, but the waiver being removed is tracked under NVBug 6784181. Could you please clarify which bug this PR is intended to fix and align the PR metadata/waiver accordingly? This also appears to overlap with #19405, which is explicitly associated with 6784181.

Approving — the comments below are optional touch-ups, not blockers.
I ran the checker over this checkout (485 markdown files) and it reports 0 invalid links, so the allowlist does fix the reported failure.
The thing to sort out before merge is CI coverage for the waiver removal. test_doc.py::test_relative_path_validity is listed in tests/integration/test_lists/test-db/l0_h100.yml:427, inside the stage: post_merge block that starts at line 311. A plain /bot run won't collect it, so a green pipeline here proves nothing about the un-waived test. Please run it explicitly, e.g. /bot run --extra-stage "DGX_H100-PyTorch-Post-Merge-1", and confirm the test shows up in the results.
Description mismatch: it says environments are detected "by their pyvenv.cfg marker / site-packages layout plus .dist-info/.egg-info suffixes" — there is no .dist-info/.egg-info check in the diff. It also says "instead of by directory name", but SKIP_DIR_PREFIXES = (".venv", "venv") is unchanged, so the new markers are additive. Worth fixing the description so a future reader isn't hunting for code that isn't there.

…ng generated docs and installed envs test_relative_path_validity resolved every relative markdown link against the worktree, which produced two classes of false positive: - Links to Sphinx pages that docs/source/helper.py generates at build time (llm_api_examples, trtllm_serve_examples, visual_gen_examples). These are gitignored, so they can never exist in a source checkout even though docs/source/index.rst references them from a real toctree. Add an explicit allowlist keyed off helper.py's write_index() outputs. - Third-party markdown vendored inside an installed Python environment under the repository root. Pruning only matched directories named .venv/venv, so an environment under any other name was walked and its READMEs validated against this repository. Detect environments by their pyvenv.cfg marker and site-packages layout, and skip .dist-info/.egg-info metadata directories. Genuinely broken relative links are still reported. Removes the waiver added for the same failure under sibling bug 6784181. Signed-off-by: trtllm-agent <296075020+trtllm-agent@users.noreply.github.com>
