WoodscanDownloadManager

Woodscan is a combination of a USB Barcode Reader and a screen-less, TTS capable MP3 Player. Its designed as help for blind and visually impaired users to identify products. The product name and further product information is given out over the build in speakter of the MP3 player.

WoodscanDownloadManager is a Qt based companion tool for the Woodscan bar-code reader to update the bar-code database delivered with the reader.

Bones decided to change the download mechanism, so most likely this tool is not working any more or getting old data. The main purpose I made the tool open source is to illustrate how to download a file including pause and resume.

Remark:

WoodscanDownloadManager is currently only working on Windows because of platform specific code to identify the player on the USB.
