How to use it ? First part. You have to fill the input.txt file with integers. They must be separated by a line break. For instance : ####### input.txt ######## 1 2 3 4 5 ########################## You have to be sure that the server is running. It is supposed to be running on EC2 instance. Then you just have to run client.py, and you will have a few indications about the process, before the results, which should look like : ######### stdout ######### Moyenne : 3 Maximum : 5 Minimum : 1 Median : 3 ########################## Second Part. You have to name the image you want to process with the following name : "image.jpg" Check that the worker is up. It can be running either on your terminal, or on an EC2 instance. Then you can run client2.py, which should upload your image on s3, then download the processed image. You will have a new file named "output.jpg" in your directory. INFORMATIONS : client.py and server.py concern the first part of the lab. Server.py should be running permanently on EC2, and is listening for new message in the requestQueue. When a new message is received, it loads its content and compute results. It then sends them back in a message to the responseQueue. client.py is used by the client with the procedure described above. client2.py and server2.py concern the second part of the lab. We want to automatically process some image on a worker running on EC2 platform. server2.py should be running permanently on EC2, and is listening for new messages in the requestQueue. Messages should be containing a key to an image stored on s3. The image is downloaded, processed by the worker, and the result is uploaded back on s3. A message is sent to responsequeue containing the new key targetting the processed image. client2.py is used by the client with the procedure described above. The image is uploaded on S3, then its key is sent to requestQueue. Then it waits for a message in responseQueue containing the key which should target the processed image. We download and store this new image with the name "output.jpg".
