feat: correspondent BIC, bulk-email CLI, and web bulk-send - #3
Conversation
Add an optional correspondentBic field to the bank model and render it on invoices (default template + label), so USD-denominated accounts that require an intermediary bank can show it. Only renders when the account provides one, leaving other accounts unchanged.
Add a command that emails already-generated invoices in bulk, selecting each by number, --month, or most-recent, and grouping clients that share a recipient into a single batch email (like invoicr-bulk --email) without regenerating. Extract the group-and-send orchestration that was inline in bulk.ts into a shared sendInvoiceEmails() (returning structured per-group results), and add pure selection helpers plus bounded invoice-file lookups (so SM-1 no longer matches SM-15). bulk.ts now reuses the shared path.
Add multi-select with a "Email N selected" action to the invoice history screen, so several existing invoices can be sent as one grouped batch email instead of one at a time. Refactor the batch-email API handler to reuse the shared sendInvoiceEmails() and bounded findHistoryEntryByPdf() lookup, removing its duplicate grouping logic and the SM-1/SM-15 filename-match bug. Response shape is unchanged.

📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe changes add shared invoice-email sending, a CLI for selecting and emailing existing invoices, and invoice selection in the history interface. The batch-email API route and existing bulk command use the shared sender. Provider bank details and generated templates now support an optional correspondent-bank BIC. ChangesInvoice bulk emailing

Review comments at @src/commands/bulk-email.ts:
- Around line 37-41: Update the argument parsing around monthFlag and specs to
reject unsupported options, distinguish an absent --month from one with a
missing or empty value, and reject space-separated --month operands instead of
treating them as client specs; report the invalid option and exit with an error.
Review comments at @src/lib/bulk-email-utils.ts:
- Around line 34-36: Update normalizeMonthName to validate the input format
before calling parseMonthArg, accepting both MM-YYYY and YYYY-MM with one- or
two-digit months. Extract the month from the matched format and reject values
outside 1–12 so malformed dates cannot produce “Invalid Date” or roll into
another year.
Review comments at @src/lib/history-manager.ts:
- Around line 176-215: Update `matchesInvoice` and its call in `findByExt` so
the period-based match must end with the requested extension, while retaining
the underscore-bounded match. This prevents a longer invoice number from
matching another invoice’s filename.
Review comments at @src/lib/invoice-emailer.ts:
- Around line 35-63: Update createEmail and sendSingle to return and propagate a
boolean indicating whether draft creation succeeded, including false when
recipients are missing or AppleScript fails. In handleSingle, use that result to
set success and log draft creation only on success, so failures do not increment
emailSuccess.
- Around line 52-62: Update sendSingle to set context.currency from
invoice.currency alongside the other recorded invoice fields, so single-invoice
email drafts format historical amounts using the invoice’s recorded currency.
- Around line 120-156: Update the batch-mode flow around groupInvoicesByEmail to
detect invoices omitted from all recipient groups and record each omitted
invoice as a failed email, so the summary reports them as failures. Preserve the
existing handling of invoices included in groups.
Review comments at @src/lib/template-generator.ts:
- Line 193: Add the correspondent BIC placeholder and its label to the detailed
and minimal built-in templates, using the same conditional rendering behavior as
the default template so both are omitted when no correspondent BIC is present.

- createEmail now returns whether the draft was created, so a missing recipient or an AppleScript failure is recorded as a failure instead of a success - batch mode records invoices whose client has no email recipient as failures instead of dropping them from the summary - single-invoice drafts use the currency recorded on the invoice
- unknown --flags and --month with no value now exit with an error; a typo such as --dryrun previously created real drafts - normalizeMonthName validates MM-YYYY and YYYY-MM (including single-digit ISO months) and rejects month 0 or 13
- an invoice number that is a dotted prefix of another (SM.-1 and SM.-1.-1) matched the other invoice's file through a bare "_N." substring - the match is now "_N_" or a filename ending in "_N<ext>"
- only default.docx had the correspondent BIC block - adds the same conditional line to detailed and minimal, with a render test over every built-in template

What
Three related commits, previously on local
main, now routed through a PR:feat(invoice)— optionalcorrespondentBicon the bank model, renderedon invoices (default template + label). Enables USD-wire accounts that need
an intermediary bank. Only renders when present.
feat(email)— newinvoicr-bulk-emailcommand to email already-generatedinvoices in bulk (select by number /
--month/ most-recent), grouping clientsthat share a recipient into one batch email. Extracts the group-and-send
orchestration inline in
bulk.tsinto a sharedsendInvoiceEmails()and addsbounded invoice-file lookups (so
SM-1no longer matchesSM-15).feat(web)— multi-select + "Email N selected" on the invoice historyscreen; refactors the batch-email API handler to reuse
sendInvoiceEmails(),removing duplicate grouping logic. Response shape unchanged.
Testing
grouping/results, the batch-email endpoint guards, and the history-view
multi-select bulk-send.
Note
Opened before the CI workflow (#2) landed on
main, so checks won't appearuntil this branch is rebased onto a
mainthat includes CI. I'll rebase after#2 merges.
