If you really want to port stuff, try making a fabric mod, this by default uses the same mappings as quilt, which means you'll be able to understand roughly what's going on here once you've got the hang of fabric. Secondly, I would recommend learning Java first, because, well... all mods and minecraft itself is coded in java. |
