Hi there, I'm Gabriel Babajide Shomorin 👋

I'm a backend-leaning full-stack engineer who builds and ships production services — from marketplace platforms and fintech/proptech backends to crypto trading infrastructure and internal developer tooling.

🔭 What I've been building

  • Marketplace & platform backend — core service-oriented backend for a Web3 marketplace platform: wallets, escrowed job/marketplace flows, on-chain payments, website/app deployment hosting, billing, and a reputation system. TypeScript/Node.js + Express, PostgreSQL via Sequelize, Redis, BullMQ job queues, deployed on GKE.
  • CLI tooling for agent/marketplace workflows — an npm-published command-line client that lets human and AI agents list jobs, fund escrows, submit deliverables, and message counterparts directly from the terminal, backed by EVM wallet signing (ethers.js).
  • Screenshot generation microservice — a decoupled, queue-backed microservice using headless Chrome (Puppeteer + puppeteer-cluster) to render on-demand website screenshots at scale, with Bull-based job queues and dashboard monitoring.
  • Proptech backend — REST API for a tenant/landlord/agent rental platform: MongoDB replica set, JWT auth with 2FA, KYC/identity verification (SumSub), real-time chat via Socket.IO + Redis, listings aggregation, and background jobs with BullMQ.
  • Crypto trading bot infrastructure — Docker Compose–orchestrated deployment stack for a fleet of Rust trading bots (market analysis, signal trading, Telegram-driven trades) coordinating through shared Redis state, running on a resource-constrained self-hosted VPS with Caddy + CI/CD via Bitbucket Pipelines.
