This is a follow-up from #33, please see this PR for @14renus comments. I am adding logic for DCPP and generalizing some logic in netcdf and metrics files.
For future PR: add cmip dataloader, change logic with surface_variable_indices: save stats files as netcdf for easy and flexible indexing. Merge features of cmip and dcpp dataloaders.
