About HeartBioPortal

HeartBioPortal is the largest cardiovascular disease genetics database in the world, produced by the Khomtchouk Lab at Indiana University. In active development since 2019. Currently, our GSoC projects focus on two main tools:

PathwayGen

A JavaScript library for generating interactive metabolic pathway diagrams with SVG. It specializes in creating visual representations of biochemical pathways, including compounds, enzymes, and their relationships.

Extractor

A high-performance Rust library for filtering and processing large CSV files, with support for both streaming and indexed processing modes.
